Yay! Grocery night = produce blogging! Oh, how I missed it last week. Something about the weekend, though long, was just off.
And, hey, this post is like a Rick Lee's greatest hits: the contrasting color of the green apple against the reds, the textures of the strawberry and that green stuff, the phallic asparagus. Good art makes it look effortless but we know better.
Outstanding photos as usual, Rick. I went back in the archives to look at some of the others, and was amused by what you said in the first "grocery blogging" post: "How many pictures of produce does the world need?" Obviously, the answer is more, every Thursday.

Yes, I remember saying that. Also after about 2 or 3 weeks of that I was thinking that surely I'd run out of ideas soon. Eighty-some weeks later I'm still enjoying it. I do repeat myself often, but I find that the next water-drops-on-cilantro shot might be a lot better than the last, so I keep re-trying some of those ideas looking to get better and better.

Do you take pictures of the produce while in the store? Do the store personnel say anything to you?
Don't get me wrong. I love the pictures. I am just trying to imagine somebody taking pictures in a grocery store.
And, this coming from somebody whose family is always telling me to put the camera away! LOL!
Yes, all the shots are done in the store. Stores have rules against that sort of thing, so I do it surreptitiously. It helps that I shop at night.

These are all great, as always, but the photo of the veiny (savoy?) cabbage is just amazing!
Your photos are great! I like vegetables, photography and blogs, so this is a good combination you have going for you.
