This is the biggest praying mantis I've ever seen. Photographed in Ceredo this morning.

UPDATE: Here she is chewing on her own antenna.

Tick or tock?

I saw this on the outside of someone's window and I said it was a tick. It was the right size but after Googling images of ticks, I'm not so sure.

Foamy

When I was out shooting cicadas the other day, I saw some of these weird little foam balls in a pine tree. They were about the size of my little fingernail. I suppose they are made by some insect, but I have no idea what it is.

Seneca Grasshopper
