Helen, Georgia

The nice folks of Helen, GA decided to remake their town as a Bavarian village. No kidding. Draw the tourists, it does.

As long as they don't try anschluss with Clarkesville, I guess it's OK.

This place looks like so much fun! The pictures really draw you into the life of the place. Once again, great job!

Kind of puts me in the mind of Hogsmeade, the only entirely-wizarding town in England, located nearby Hogwarts Castle. In fact, I think I can see the Shrieking Shack in the distance in that last shot....

Those are nice "night" pictures... Oh, I wish my lighting at night could be like that!!!

SuperBabe, the trick to doing great night shots is to do them at dusk, when there is still a little blue in the sky. When it gets really dark it's hard to get a good photo. The trouble is, you've about a 15 minute window of opportunity to get what you need.

Thanks for the shooting-at-night tip. Makes sense!
