Jack was correct when he said it was on the windshield. I got in the car and I was about to take off when I decided to get the camera out and see if I could get a shot of that bug. I took one exposure and then it flew away. I really didn't think I got it in focus but I saw that it was ok when I looked at it on the computer later.

Well, the obvious guess is that you crawled under a glass table and shot up at the bug. But, I surmise that it was more complictaed than that.
Or, it was on your window or windshield.
Windshield? Either that or you've got great reflexes and shot it with your macro mode with a very high shudder speed, as it flew by.
My guess is that it is sitting on your camera lens, but I haven't got a clue as to how you focused and tripped the shutter without spooking it.
*Make that "shutter;" not "shudder.
Is the bug in a jar?
I'm going to say it was clinging for dear life to one of the windows of your house.

Your windshield is super clean!!! I really was thinking it was under a glass table or a window or something... Very nice shot!
Yeah... it's actually a BRAND NEW windshield which was just installed.
I took a similar picture last year, although yours is vastly superior. Your windshield was cleaner too.
