Finding Photographs

Sometimes you can find photos buried in your own photos. Here's a shot of the Kanawha River I took riding in a car crossing a bridge. It was just a quick snap of a sunset last week. I was looking at that shot this morning and I decided that there might be a good photo that could be cropped out of it.

That's where those extra megapixels come in handy.

This doesn't surprise me. I sometimes think you could drop your camera and have it accidently trip the shutter and the resulting photo would be suitable for framing. Meanwhile us mortals try with desperation and futility to get decent photos in the best conditions.

That's right Jerry... there's not much left now. I went back and took a look, and what you see is a 1.5 megapixel photo.

Thanks Stanton... sometimes I find really good photos in other people's photos too. Ask Bob Coffield about that. I fixed up one of his shots that I found on Flickr and came up with a shot that I'd have been very proud to have posted as my own.

I agree with Stanton, and now I'm REALLY HOMESICK!

Another great shot of Charleston. Love the colors. Stanton, Rick's right. He took a my photo of the Ohio River that I posted on Flickr and made it twice as nice. He accentuated the colors and removed the yellow moorings that the barges tie up to just below the Hannibal Locks.

By the way -- I got the shot by accidentally dropping my camera in my dad's back yard. Go figure. Remember . . . it's not about the camera.
