Big Cut on 119

Holy cow... would you look at that? I was driving home from a job on US119 through southern West Virginia and I just had to pull over and take a photo of this scene. This demonstrates the difficulty of building roads in Appalachia. That's a lot of rock to move. And you have to do that for every road, shopping center, or whatever you want to build around here.

Where is that going to/coming from?

I was coming back from Grundy, VA... by way of Pikeville, KY. This scene is somewhere between Pikeville and Logan, WV... not exactly sure where.

Doesn't get much more of a classic "S-Curve" composition than that does it? :-)
