Hi Robert... this was shot for a job at an aluminum rolling factory. This is just some sort of machine oil that is being tested. I can't remember what the oil was used for now, but measuring the viscosity on a regular basis was something they needed to do. This was shot in the "liquids" lab. I also shot pictures in another lab where they were stressing aluminum pieces to the breaking point, etc.
This is a typical example of what I call "pulling a rabbit out of my hat"... that is, making a really cool picture where you wouldn't think there was one. I have other examples of such things on the blog in the archives.
