Municipal Tulips

The city of Charleston (WV) does a good job of planting flowers at strategic places around town every Spring and Summer. These decorate the parking lot of a fire station. I had to pull over this afternoon and get a few shots.

Yes, Charleston does a great job with flowers. I wish I could say the same for Huntington. Rick, do you know if the City pays for them or if they are donated? Let me know so I can take this up with some of the deadbeats here in town. We need to spread some of that kind of beauty around our downtown.

Jack... I asked a friend of mine who is on city council and he said that it's a combination. The city pays for a lot of flowers and has a crew that does planting and maintainance, but some volunteers do this work also in some locations.
