I used to walk around the west side as a teenager and I noticed many weeds growing in places whre you would never expect to see a living thing. It isn't particular to Charleston, but I always noticed more of them there than anywhere else. There has to be a lesson there somewhere.
Hehe... that reminds me of a conversation with somebody who had just flown into Charleston from Michigan. She said, "On the plane we couldn't help but notice that there are trees literally EVERYWHERE here. Where did they come from? Who planted all those trees??" I shrugged and said "Hey, it's West Virginia... if you don't WANT trees you have to keep them cut down. Stop clearing for a minute and the land is covered with trees again before you know it."
