I wouldn't say it's not as good as the last. I thought the first one was eerie.. but this one is more so. Looks almost as though the spirits are rising up from the shadows. (That's how my mind wanders at 1:30 in the morning...) Both photos are beautiful and definitely worth the 20 seconds.
Of course there will be a difference of opinion on aesthetics, but to me, the previous photo works much better as a whole... it's much more graphically strong. The tree is not conflicting with stuff in the background, the fence is more visible leading off into the mist... I just like everything about it more than this one. [shrug]
