Yep... pretty much have to ask them to pose as I've got the lens about an inch from the eye. It's surprising that they always let me. Nobody has ever said "Heck no you can't photograph my eye!" I think it's such an unusual request that they just go along with it to see that the heck I'm up to. One thing I've learned is that not just anybody's eye will look good up close. Mine for instance looks hideous. It's like an elephant eye with all the saggy, craggy skin around it. I'd like to do some non-traditionally beautiful ones... I have some ideas... but for now mainly it's been the ones that look like an eye makeup ad.

Well I'll be. You learn something different every day. I did notice that most of the eyes were young women with smoother skin, however.
