Okay, I don't get it. I looked at my veges in Safeway this week. None of them looked like your photos. I bought pomegranets and they looked like they needed a bath....maybe I need a new store.....

Rick -

Are you a vegetarian, or do you just lose interest after the produce department? :-)

BTW, I went with an Olympus E-500 over the Nikon D-50. It's a tad smaller, and has a wonderful 2.5" LCD screen. Came with two lenses, too, which is nice. Looks like a fairly steep learning curve if I want to stray away from Auto mode, though.

I'm new to your blog, thanks to a friend of mine who passed your site along to me, and I have to say...WOW. Simply Wow. You even make brussel sprouts look tasty.

I will be returning often!

What an energizing blog!

Ric,

Is there any reason you don't post pictures of people (apart from the occasional cute child)?

Vegetarian? Not hardly. Why all the produce?... most stuff in the grocery store is in packaging. You can't actually see the food. Occasionally I'll spot something to shoot in the other parts of the store... such as the coke bottles and the wine bottles you've seen in the past couple of weeks... but the fruits and vegetables always seem to have possibilities. Just when I think I'll never see any new shots in the produce department, I have a good week... like this one. I really think this is a good set.

Dave... let me know if you have questions about using the new camera.

Good to hear from you Insanity Infusion!

Davos... no particular reason. But shooting pictures of people is a lot different from shooting inanimate objects. Usually, it requires their cooperation and consent. Blogging daily doesn't allow for a lot of that in my life. BTW... did you see the New York street shots? Lots of people in those... anonymous strangers.
