Rick, I have looked at that face for many years now but never has it looked so horrible as in black & white extreme close-up! That scared even me!!!! :-)
It's a foam latex mask, so it's actually soft to the touch. It was originally sculpted in clay, then cast in plaster then the final mask was run in foam latex. It was created waaaay back in '92, I think, for The Charleston Light Opera Guild's performance of "Into the Woods".
