Well now, these are different. The macro camera settings really brings you into a different world, doesn't it?

Fantastic, Rick. Thanks for another great edition of produce blogging.

My day can now commence.

I like the top one the best. Great eye to see those compositions.

LOVE the lettuce shot! There is something about it... reminds me of draping fabric or something.

Did you really use the Fuji Finepix for these produce photos? They seem too high quality for a point and shoot, but I'm not familiar with Fuji cameras either. Very sensual.

How much post-production do you do with your photos? (For instance Big Tree at Frazier's Bottom)

I'm an amateur considering the move to digital SLR...I'm going to go out on a limb here and ask if you might give me your opinion on my snaps. (September 2007 has most of my faves)

I like your work and an honest assessment from a professional would be helpful. (Being that you're someone I don't know will help dull the pain...!)

Thanks!

Queen B... yes, all of the produce was shot with a Fuji pocket camera. It has a great macro function. All of my photos go through photoshop for color-correction and some retouching etc. I hardly ever think that a raw photo right out of the camera (any camera) is ready to show. I looked at your blog and I think that your photography is far above the average amateur level. I think you could greatly benefit from an SLR with a good zoom lens. If you don't mind carrying it around, an SLR will give you lots more options in what you can shoot.
