I just lightened the bottom part a little bit so you could see the snow on the hills.

I think it's curious that nobody commented on the previous image "Snow on Hunters Ridge" which to me is a superior image to this one. A bit less dramatic I suppose. But I'm often surprised by the reaction of other people. You never know.

I think it's curious that nobody commented on the previous image "Snow on Hunters Ridge" which to me is a superior image to this one.

For me, I think it's the lack of identifiable terrestrial features that prevents me from immediately recognizing the scale. The house in the "Hunters Ridge" photo gives me a sense of scale, while this one could be a wide angle shot from the top of the world. That plus the way the light seems to eminate from the midst of darkness is very unusual.

I still say wow.
