CAB2 happened

This is the grand convocation of the Charleston Area Bloggers at Taylor Books this morning. Again no females... it's beginning to look like the A/V club here. I'm afraid I don't have time right now to sit and put names and blog links with everybody... would you guys help me out here and do that in the comments? I managed to not get a photo of Shane or me.

That was my first reaction: Where are the chicks? But you topped me with the A/V club remark. Sigh. Well, I'm sure things'll change. Meanwhile, it's good you all are getting together. It looks like you're hvaing a good time.

I really enjoy the site, Rick.

I'm the fat guy with the iBook, while shirt, sans tie.

Rick, I always look good in the pictures you take. I'm going to make you my offical photog.

As to female bloggers, I saw walking down the other side of Captiol Street after CAB2 on the way back to my office. Some people like to remain anonymous and she might fall into that group. There are great female bloggers out there, but it appears they are not the meetup types.

My comment got screwed up. It should read I saw raging red walking down the other side of Capitol St.

Hey, I wanted to be there, but events conspired against me.

Is there a next time?

Hey, guys in WVa wear suits! And ties even. Around here, a Hawaiian shirt is considered dressy.

If so many people hadn't given up suits and ties, the country wouldn't have gone to Hell in a handbasket.

I mean it. If kids outside the South said "Sir" and "Ma'am," men wore suits and ties except when mowing the lawn and playing baseball, and women wore hats to church, think of what a wonderful state this country would be in.

Yep, I agree with everyone else, good to see everyone. Brian Canterbury also attended but had to leave early due to work. He runs the new Knottydread's Knappy Roots. See you all next time.

The coat and tie thing let me to write my most reactionary post ever.

The chances of my ever making it to Taylor's at eight o'clock in the morning are pretty close to nil. That has nothing to do with my gender or a lack of interest in meeting local bloggers and everything to do with my inability to get my ass out of bed in the morning until the last possible second. Oncee, you probably saw me after I had just grabbed a bagel and coffee and was on my way to my office. I figured you guys had disbanded by that time. I don't exactly have anonymity to protect (since my mug is right there on my blog), so feel free to say hello next time you see me.

I started to scream raging red, but then I decided I should just get my arse to work and not make a spectacle. If you were closer I would have said hello.

I'm sporting the red sweater/red hair combo. I don't think that could be confused with anyone. It was a fun time, and I encourage anyone that missed to attend CAB3.

I guess we need to setup a time for CAB3.... I would like to do it March 3 at 8am at Taylor books.... Any takers? I think Friday would be a good day, but that may not work for others' schedules... So I am open for suggestions.

I'm good for March 3.

Fridays are great for me. March 3 is very workable.

I guess that makes it CAB3-3/3.

I agree with Lawbot and Red about making it out at 8:00 AM. You are much more likely to get me out at 8:00 PM, and Although I would prefer a bar, I would be willing to go to taylors as long as we went to a bar afterwards. Or I guess Lawbot and I could just bring along a handy dandy little flask.

Oh, and Lawbot, I heard you recently moved "across the courtyard" from my best friend Ian. I may run into you there sometime.

Travis

PS . I just found out Im gonna be a daddy!!!

Yeah, what the hell? I guess I could be a little social. I'll try and manage a clean shirt and socks for the occasion.
