That's a very difficult photo to get the exposure correct. Is it actually two photos of differing exposer combined, or do you just have the most remarkable exposure algorithm on earth?

Richad, the F100 got the exposure right. I also did a little bit of dodging afterward.

It has such a compelling, timeless quaility, as if a horsedrawn carriage could come around the corner.

BTW.. this is a pretty good illustration of "magic hour" lighting. The hour before sunset (on a clear day) makes stuff look so much better. This scene shot at noon would be worthless.
