yep of nursing Jr and perhaps his twin, we have a mom with twins and she skinny as a rain
Fred is right. It's normal for does to get really thin while they are nursing, escpecially if they have twins which is fairly common. Once the fawns are weaned (which by the size of this one should be soon) she will start to gain that weight back.
That was my first thought too (nursing) and I hope that she can gain soon, before winter sets in.
Ahhh... I see. There WERE two fawns. The other is outside the frame of the photo on the right.
why doesn't the nursing leads to thinnes theory work for humans too? Baby Kit is a great eater and I'm still fluffy as ever!!
Well, perhaps if you ate only grass??
