Extreme coffee chauvinism

More coffee-blogging... I can't help it. Taylor Books is the best coffee-shop in the western world. The coffee is good, but it's located in a restored Victorian building in downtown which a hundred years ago was a hardware store... exposed brick walls, creaky wood floors, comfy chairs, free wi-fi. (the owners didn't know what wi-fi was so I just installed it myself with their permission)

My morning coffee group is diverse... some left and some right but we have great discussions and share our lives.

Does that say "Desserts for Literacy"? Don't ask me.

Speaking of the owners, here's one now:

The good doctor grew up in wartime England and knows how to save a dollar. He owns a bookstore but he waits for me to bring in my subscription copy of the WSJ and then he reads mine.

UPDATE: Additional Taylor Books blogging here.

Hi Rick,

Great blog. I wouldn’t have known about it if not for stumbling across a post on Instapundit. Great shot of Tim Bradford by the way.

I don’t get down to Taylor Books as much as I like to use the WiFi. My girlfriend and I make a point of make it at least once every couple of week. It sucks to be a day sleeper.

Thanks for the comments guys. Oncee... if you can drag yourself out of bed in the mornings, come on down some day between 8 and 9am. I'll be there on Monday till 9... at which time I have to blow out to Morgantown. I'm there every day I'm not on the road or working early.
