On my walk in the woods with my new Fujifilm F10 camera, I saw a log covered with bright green moss. I didn't think it would be an interesting subject but I bent down and took a couple of shots. I was just about to leave when I decided to get down real close and look at it from the side. I don't know what prompted me to do this, but I was very surprised at what I saw. I didn't know that moss could have these red stem-like things sticking up from the green. These are very small, but when you get up close they are very interesting looking.
Woohooo! And now for something completely different. If you are like me and you like Enya, this is huge news... Enya doesn't release albums very often... it has been 5 years. The new album has been announced for release on Nov 22. Amarantine. Sorry for the interuption... back to the photoblogging.
I can't remember what sort of bush or tree these leaves were on but they were very non-descript. It just goes to show what interesting light and composition will do for a photo.
I bought a new Fuji camera and went for a walk in the woods. If you are interested in the camera, see the comments. UPDATE: More photos from my walk in the woods in the next post.
I'm not easily impressed by flashy web sites. But once in a while, somebody creates something that you just have to sit back and be in awe of. Like this.
Last week in New York, I stumbled across this building. Those of you who remember "Brill Building Pop" will know the significance. It's not a great picture, but I thought some of you might be interested.
