I went mountain biking in Little Creek Park this morning. The weather was incredible. Most people around here go biking in Kanawha State Forest but lately I prefer the newer trails in LCP.
The little mushroom is quite small... perhaps the size of a dime. It was growing on a log next to the car. I guessed that it might make a better photo from below. I didn't really know until I got home and looked at it on the computer.
This rhododendron was very confusing to me. How could these holes appear like this? I finally realized that a bug had eaten through the three leaves when it was still closed.

Rick: Very nicely captured. I guess even a bug has to live even if on a beautiful flower.
Love that little mushroom against the blue sky - quite a little gem!
