Produce night, baby!

Nice capture of the texture on the purple cabbage but the red-pepper composition really provokes my OCD.

Well, art should provoke a reaction, shouldn't it?

Great work, as always, Rick. Thanks. Now I can go about my day.

That's a perfect picture of perky peppers. WV produce managers certainly are tidy. I think my local grocery store loads its display bins with a dump truck, or maybe by tossing the items from across the store.

To me, the broccoli florets suggest the heads of tiny green creatures stretching up to peer into the light.

Love the peppers. Did you arrange them, or were they just like that?

I straightened one pepper.

These are awesome, as usual.

When does the "Because Thursday Night is Grocery Night..." book come out again? ;-)

Rick said, "I straightened one pepper."

That sounds evasive. Did you turn the one that is facing up, up? Or did you actually just straighten one of the other peppers?

Wow. The cabbage looks like leather. Kinda spooky.

I used to date a girl whose father is a photographer in Dayton. He won an award for some photographs of chard lettuce.

I remember at the time dismissing the whole thing, but I recently found the photos online and, with a bit more maturity under my belt, they really are beautiful. I was reminded of the rediscovery of his work by these great images.

These photos reminded me of how sometimes things that we take for granted can be the most beautiful. Thanks.

With the exception of the "Freud Week", this may be my favorite set of Produce Blogging yet.
