That's right... but some locals seemed to pronounce it as if it were spelled "Katy's".
Keh-Dizz (hard "a" - sorry - I'm not good at this phonetic stuff).
Thanks for the comments. Watching that fire crest the hill was very scary, I'm still surprised I stood there and took pictures and didn't run away as fast as I could ;-D.
Rachel... I've always found that looking through a camera makes it easier to do difficult things... like hang out of helicopters, etc.
in ohio, it's pronounced "CAD-iss" ...
Everybody I know there, which is a lot, pronounces it, K-dis.
