Seen at Festivall
Festivall... this weekend in Charleston, WV I don't know who that is behind the blue mask, but that other one is well-known Charleston artist, Charlie Hamilton.
I popped into Taylor Books because I had heard that they were showing a few of my pastel paintings. They have some of my pieces in storage that they bring out occasionally. Those are my three pieces on the right. Feel free to go to the Taylor Books Annex Gallery and purchase them!

Fish Redux
Here's a few leftover shots from the Florida Aquarium in Tampa. These are from an exhbit of tropical fish tanks such as you could have at home. Adam has some good shots of these same fish.
These fish that look like they are just bones are called "glassfish" and they seem to be just totally transparent... like glass. It's really quite bizarre. They had them displayed in a tank with bits of clear glass in the bottom and the effect was wild.

Avian Thugs
Are these the notorious brown-headed cowbirds?... known for laying their eggs in other nests and taking off to let the poor schmuck birds raise the young cowbirds. I saw this group near the 7-11 on my way to work. Thugs always hang out at the 7-11, don't they? If you're a bird expert (I'm not), let me know if I'm right or wrong. (BTW, this is more bird-blogging for my Aunt Carol. Are you happy now?)

Bug question
Adam is asking for help identifying a giant bug he saw in Florida. If you know about such things, have a look.
