Poor baby. I hope you set him on the other side.

Not making much progress, i'n he"?

He looks how I feel, sometimes.

Yes, I set him on the other side. The picture would have been better if I'd gotten it with his feet out walking... but when I got close, of course he went in the shell. I was lucky to get him with his head out. I could have waited longer but traffic was kinda heavy (as it is at 8am) and I needed to get him (and me!) out of the road.

This shot proves that it is SO important to always have your camera within reach. How awesome that you were able catch this!

Great pic, thanks for taking the time to stop and photograph it and save his life as well. :-)

To prove to the opossum it could be done.

I still stop and get them out of the road. I have learned that you should place them as far as you can on the side of the road that the were coming from. They have a very small range that they live in and know where there food sources are. By placing them on the other side of the road they may be lost and not be able to find another food source. Great picture. keep up the rescue efforts.

I sometimes wonder how long it takes you to get to work. Stopping as you do for these brilliant pics.

I stopped moving turtles the day I discovered exactly how quickly a snapping turtle can snap!

Yeah, I guess sometime in my childhood I figured out that you keep your fingers away from the front end. It's pretty safe if you keep your hands on the back.

Thank you for rescuing him/ her on behalf of all of the turtle nation. What can I say, sometimes we are drawn to the bright yellow lines. :)
