Quaker Steak & Lube

What a weird name for a restaurant. It seems like every time a new restaurant opens in Charleston, absolutely everybody in town wants to go there so you can't even get in the parking lot. Right now, this is that place. It's jammed. Don't go there. By the way, when this place was under construction, you saw it in this post.

Quaker Steak & Lube? I'm grinning. Yes, that's an unusual name.

delurking for a moment - I went to college near Sharon Pennsylvania, where the original "Lube" is located. We would always go for wing night on Tuesdays. Never expected to see one down here, and haven't yet been this one.

Odd name, always crowded, but good wings.

When I saw the sign, I thought, "Man, a gas station... what do we need a gas station here for?"... Glad to see I was wrong! I'll check it out in a few months when the fever has passed some.

Awww, this makes me think of my Father-in-Law who passed away a couple of years ago. He loved Quaker Steak & Lube (in Pittsburgh).

I've never been but the name still cracks me up.

I've seen these restaurants in Columbus before but I've never eaten in one. I hear that they have lots of different kinds of yummy wings.

I've been to the one in Pittsburgh a couple of times, and have always had great food! Seeing that this one is located on Corridor G, good luck catching it when it isn't busy! :)
