... where it's not about the camera.
In my short time on the local blog scene, I have thoroughly enjoyed your photos. A man of your talent, who can make even this place seem interesting and beautiful, would do well to get involved in a larger market. It is all in your perspective I suppose.
I don't get it. What's wrong with West Virginia? (Patience please - I'm a foreigner). I think there is beauty everywhere if you're open enough to see it. My experience of West Virginia and that part of the world has been solely through Rick Lee's eyes. I've never been there, but it sure looks nice. I guess that says something about Rick Lee too.
Davos... don't take Goldie too seriously. He/she has started a new blog around here which professes to attempt to be humorous and to make fun of WV. He/she has elected to stay anonymous which of course makes it so much easier to dismiss. Here's a good one... he/she said that the local museum was really low class for showing Appalachian art... and then he turned around and said that the museum theater should stop showing educational films about nature, etc., and start showing films about sports and Star Wars. As Dave Barrry says, I'm NOT making this up. It's pretty funny, but it's difficult to tell when it's intentional.
If I had that book, I'd be parked on the couch for days!
