The first shot brings back childhood memories of returning to NYC from Pennsylvania on summer Sundays, and descending into the Holland Tunnel.
We'd usually buy gas, because it was cheaper in Jersey.
Sometimes we took the ferry in Hoboken, stopping at the now-defunct Kelly's Clam House for a pot of steamers and a roast beef sandwich. They had sawdust on the floor.
My, I'm nattering like the old f**t I have become.
There's something... something metaphorical about that trip down into the tunnel and then rising up on the other side into the other world that is Manhattan.
Luminouslens... yep, you can see that sign that says "REV..." something or other there in both shots. Yours was shot a little farther to the right and more telephoto.

I really like the sky in that first shot. The blue overtones are great too.
Beautiful!

Rick's Holland Tunnel picture evoked this reminiscence of childhood consumption of mass quantities in NY.
These are great.
