Frightened Fawn

We were working at Blue Bend today and suddenly this little fawn comes crashing out of the woods and jumps in the river and starts swimming right toward us. It clumsily jumped out of the water and ran into the woods as fast as it's spindly legs could take it.

Wow. Poor thing...

Great shots, though.

These are fantastic! As frightened as he may have been he actually looks quite calm in the water. The 'reflection' photos are awesome!!

P.S. I hope you know how special these pictures are- I truly appreciate any photo taken of a 'moving' target! If I had tried to take pictures of this dashing fawn they would have been one massive blur! I love these!

Wow, that's some fancy camera shootin' there, Rick. A cool head, a clear eye and, presto, art. Great stuff.

What a great series. Wonder what spooked him in the woods?

I tend to get stuff like this because, in the course of my normal work day, I find myself standing around with a camera in my hand whenever something like this happens.

You're not only a great photographer, but sometimes you're lucky!

Oh Rick, those are the coolest shots. It's already been said, but the one with his tongue sticking out is too precious for words. I love these. Would be a cool sequence to frame...
