I remember once when I was a kid, maybe 7-8 years old, we went to visit an aunt and uncle in Ohio. In their barn, they had at least 50 of those things hanging from the rafters, and there were still a lot of flies.
I have three in my house right now. We thought we would give them a try this year. We're in an old house with a variety of bugs! The one next to the computer seems to be a favorite! It has about a dozen flies on it!

My grandparents always had those in their house when I was growing up.
The last flypaper we saw was in Canada about 5 years ago. Memories.....
