After dinner we realized the restaurant was just a few blocks from the White House so we took a walk. It was too dark out to get any *good* pictures, but here's a couple anyway. I always tell people not to try to take pictures like this after dark. If the sky is black, it's too late. Shoot these when there still a hint of dusky blue/purple in the sky. These would have been pretty good if they were shot around 5:30 instead of 8:30.


This is the Executive Office Building next door to the White House. I think it's just an amazing bit of Second Empire architecture.
