TV Set

Some of you might remember this photo that I posted last year.

I thought you might be interested to see that it was used in this WHCP TV news studio set...

For what it's worth, I also shot this photo...

Red Shamrocks

You may remember these shamrocks that I posted last year. This "red" shamrock is a houseplant and it's huge. These are the tiny flowers it produces. The flowers are about the size of a fingernail.

There was a time when...

... buggy didn't refer to bad software. This is Orville and Wilbur Wright... just kidding... the guy on the left is my grandfather, somewhere in Roane County, WV. I picked up this photo at my cousin's house yesterday. She has a treasure of old family memorabilia.

Ulla's watch

I went to my cousin's house today. This watch belonged to my grandmother whose name was Ulla. My cousin's name is Ulla too.

The Homestead

I've never been to The Homestead in Virginia before. Very nice place. Sortof like a smaller version of The Greenbrier just across the border here in West Virginia. I wasn't out skiing or golfing or horseback riding... I was working all day in one room. Don't get me wrong... it was a good job and I was happy to do it. But I kept looking out the window at the gorgeous weather... sigh. When I had a little downtime I shot some pictures of the light fixture over my head.

Quaker Steak & Lube

What a weird name for a restaurant. It seems like every time a new restaurant opens in Charleston, absolutely everybody in town wants to go there so you can't even get in the parking lot. Right now, this is that place. It's jammed. Don't go there. By the way, when this place was under construction, you saw it in this post.

Produce Blogging #37

Because Thursday night is grocery night!

CAB2 is coming... Wed Feb1

Charleston Area Bloggers... we'll be meeting again at Taylor Books between 8 and 9am. If you have a blog and you're close enough to attend, you're invited! I'll try to be there at 7:30 again but I can't guarantee it. Here's the last meeting.
UPDATE: I forgot to say the date. Thanks guys. Wednesday, February 1st.

At the car show... Part 5

OK... I lied. Sue me. Here's more cars. I'm the guy that does fruits and veggies every week, remember? I can't stop once I get on a roll.

The mystery of "fried bologna sandwiches in West Virginia" on Google is solved, sorta. See the update.
UPDATE: OK... I finally get to the bottom of this. See the second update on that post.
