i've never been over here to your blog before. beautiful. i've been considering taking photography classes (i'm working on an elementary education degree, but would like to get an art certification as well) was just looking at slr cameras today... after seeing yours.. i might just have to get a little more serious about it!
I think i might know what it is. The underside of a glass table. or the top side of a mirror table with that brass part sitting on top of it. it's possibly one of those two. maybe, i mean, i don't wanna get too cocky. :D BTW, rick, check out my blog today. I posted some pics of Carolina Sunsets. I thought you'd get a kick out of them.

The inner workings of an anniversary clock...
A display of brass candlesticks?
I think i might be a brass chadelier too, although my first though was brass chess pieces.

Hi Holly... welcome and thanks for the kind words.
It looks like Fred and Kim are the geniuses of the day. It's one of those anniversary clocks with the rotating pendulum movement.
I cannot believe I actually got one right!!!! LOL! My parents had one when I was little and I was always intrigued by it....
