Germany Valley

I drove back from Virginia via Route 33 across some of the most scenic areas of West Virginia. I stopped at an overlook and took this panorama of Germany Valley. This is composed from 4 different shots. Click the photo to see a much larger version.

Rick,

All I can say is "WOW!" Recently my wife and I traveled through similar country, Pennsylvania's Laurel Highlands, and as we went through I noted places I wanted to stop on the return trip. Unfortunately, it rained all the way back and all I could get were snapshots from a moving vehicle. There's a lesson in that, never pass up a photo opportunity.

This is a wonderful picture of the view from the overlook of my property. It is very hard to capture the full effect.

There is also buffalo that graze the pasture around the cabins. But they must of missed their photo opportunity.

That is about my favorite place in the world. Okay 2nd favorite - Spruce Knob is my favorite. Those are the new Germany Valley Overlook cabins I think. I dreamed of having a house on that very spot. Wonderful photo.
