Yay! The return of produce blogging! A long dry spell since the last one on November 15th - not that I'm keeping track or anything - thanks to the demands of the holiday and travel, and a great installment, too.
I like the contrasts of the first two, the textures of the third and fifth, but what's going on in the fourth? The black line tells me it's some Photoshop wizardry but the splotchy thing on top of the black line tells me it's "live."
The Babe is correct... it's a celery package. Blue and clear with a black line... and a hole in it. Looks like we had a produce/mystery combo this week.
Rick: On my screen the the bumps on the pineapple look like they're a deep plum color. The little spikes look khaki. I'm used to seeing pineapples with a green/yellow and tan appearance. Having said that here's another from wikipedia that has a similar color scheme. So maybe my horizons need broadening...

Thanks, Rick. Off to get the day started now
No, no, I think it must be celery in a plastic wrap/bag or something like that, right?
I loved it!
Or a lettuce...

Well, I'm still stumped on one thing.
Did you change the colors on the pineapple, or are there such things as eggplant-pinapple crosses?
What color does the pineapple look like on your monitor? It looks greyish brown here. That's a purple eggplant in the last photo.
These are great, now I'm hungry for a veggie. The celery is mysterious.
