Another great installment, Rick. A terrific contrast of color and texture and something I've noticed before: emotion. The prickly stuff looks scary while the other stuff is soothing. Amazing.
(I was worried there for a bit. All that traipsing around to photograph log cabins is fine but I'm glad you didn't neglect your produce blogging. Thanks!)
Do you pose your produce, or does it just come out of the bag looking that good?
It just cracks me up to think of you carefully propping up some corn and misting it with a spray bottle....just like it's a swimsuit model going for that "dewy" look!
Rebecca... every so often I have to tell a new group of viewers that the produce is all shot in the store... mostly just as I find it. Usually, the only produce I actually buy is some bagged salad, some baking potatoes and some apples. The automatic sprayer at Krogers (complete with thunder and lightning, which I think is really funny) provides the water droplets.
Maisy... the mystery photos are just really hard to do. They take lots of time and energy to find and lately I've just been too busy with work to put that much into it. I do intend to pick up with that again.
I look forward to all of your produce pictures, but the red cabbage shot is, so far, my all-time favorite. I saw it before I saw the "Produce Blogging" caption, and before I thought of vegetables, my mind tried to process it as jewels scattered in spilled wine on a rumpled tablecloth. Then I blinked and it resolved as cabbage. But such lovely cabbage!

You're up early! Thanks, I got back just in time to go grocery shopping.

Great shots yet again Rick!
What ever happened to your mystery photos? I always looked forward to them just like I do the produce shots. :)
