I drove over into Ohio early this morning to photograph a house. I thought I'd get some nice fall foliage shots, but frankly, this isn't shaping up as a good year for color... yet.
I ran into Phil Pfister at Chesapeake Bagel Bakery on Monday. It was good to see him in person after seeing him on Letterman last week. Phil recently won the title of "World's Strongest Man". This is a photo I took of him a while back for Charleston Magazine. He's leaning on one of those giant concrete balls they lift in competition. Of course I tried to lift it... it didn't budge.
Detail of Kanawha County Courthouse. The interesting light in this photo makes it look like an interior, but this is an exterior shot. The light is the sun reflected from the United Bank Building across the street.
This is a sculpture exhibit outdoors at Pullman Square in Huntington, WV. It has something to do with the Marshall University "Arts for All" project going on this fall. I'm sorry that I don't really know much about it. I just noticed the pieces there when I stopped to get something from Starbucks.
On Friday I found myself killing some time in the OR waiting for some doctors to arrive. There are lots of interesting things to see. Welcome Instapundit readers! Go to my main page for more photos.
