Firenze sounds so much cooler than Florence.
These first two photos were taken just before I was wrestled to the ground by security guards... well... reprimanded anyway. It turns out you're not supposed to take pictures of Michelangelo's David. Click on the image to view a larger slideshow.
The Uffizi Gallery... under construction since 1560... like everything else in Italy, it'll be nice when it's finished.

Sounds like you're a trouble-maker, Rick.
I didn't think Michelangelo would mind. Seriously, I didn't see the sign. I think it's really cool the way David looks very calm from the front, but from the side he looks gravely concerned. I never noticed that before seeing him for myself.
Ha! Yes, I took 2 very subtle pictures (I *had* seen the sign but who cares!) and nobody saw me... then again, that was not the case inside Sacre Coeur in Paris :) Great pictures!
I saw the sign and I kept my camera in its case. I couldn't get over how many foreigners there were who ignored the signs and clicked away. The guards said nothing to them while I was there. It kind of pissed me off, since I was pretty sure that if I got my camera out, they'd haul me off outside.
