I'm back at MoMA once again. They have a new room to display the gigantic Monet water lilly paintings. One can sit in comfort and contemplate the sublime hugeness.
I first came here to look at the photographs when I was in college. I don't suppose I can overestimate the influence those trips had on me.

Amazing pictures. Love the children gazing at the Picasso. But I notice the photography section appears to be sadly lacking a produce series. I happen to know of a certain, hugely talented photographer who has done such a series. . .
The last time we were there, we had only 30 minutes to see as much as possible. Seeing anything was hard because it was so packed with people we couldn't get close to the art. It was Friday night, when there is no entrance fee. I'd love to go back and spend hours there.
gosh you're lucky being able to take pictures in your art galleries - cameras are forbidden in Australian galleries...

Here in the US the largest museums allow photographs as long as you are in the permanent collection rooms, but usually not in the borrowed collections. Many smaller museums ban photography.
