Chocolate Hug... I shot these in about an hour one morning last week. If you set out to take pictures of people taking pictures in Times Square... it's a target-rich environment.
I love this series. I took an even better whale butt picture recently but I am afraid it would embarrass (no pun intended) the person in it and just can't bring myself to share it with anyone. I like the idea of the tourists becoming the attraction and when I look at this it seems irresistible and obvious that they are the most interesting visual experience.
Nice collection and theme. Shooting other photographers shooting is always a temptation, but I've never thought of making it a collection. Great work, especially those with odd expressions.

This is great. So self-referential. And an Aykroyd.
I feel obligated to point out that the owner of that butt-crack was a very attractive Japanese girl.
Awesome theme! And great photos, as usual.
Ahhhh, New York. Nice.
What a lovely photo essay! Anyone can get an image on a point-and-click, but it takes something else to get the real stuff.
Hilarious observations Rick... humans are funny creatures, aren't we?!
What, no thong?
What a fantastically fun set! Did you take them all on the same day?

Great set. I hope I remember to turn around next time I'm at a point-and-click destination.
It never fails to fascinate me how many people don't bother to take the marketing stickers off the front of their cameras.
