I was wondering when somebody was going to ask. I was shooting some computer controlled metal milling machines and this one had this wire feeding into it... I'm not sure what the wire did, but on the back of the machine was this bucket with little bits of the wire coming out of a tube. Is that confusing enough? Each of those pieces is about 2 millimeters in length.
