I included this shot just to show something mildly interesting. I got out of the car on the way to work this morning to shoot a few fall color shots. But I also got this sky shot just by looking in a different direction.
A nice addendum to your sunset/sunrise rule: When you see a sunset/sunrise worth photographing, turn around and take a look at what the sunrise/sunset is illuminating. Though I have no proof, whenever I follow this rule, I almost without fail find something else worth photographing.
I'm so glad I found your blog...spectacular! It is nice at the end of the day to wonder what you might find and even nicer when you find something to smile about.
