Because Thursday night is grocery night! Welcome Instapundit readers! If you are interested a lot more fruits and vegetables, just click on the "produce" tag below. Click here to go to my main page.
Good question Joanna! There was a display of mushrooms on a black plate and most of them were gone. It's the sort of shot that I might do in the studio... put a piece of fruit on a sheet of black plexi and shoot it like that. But this was there in the store like that. I had to pick a bunch of tidbits of mushroom off the plate before shooting it.
I can't wait for the day that i see on the news that "crazy man in west virginia was arrested for his produce photography. He may be dangerous. Guard your turnips! Seal up your asparagus... He may violate their personal space and....TAKE...THEIR... PHOTO!!!" :D I love veggie photography.
A lot of Instapundit readers are coming in. If you want to know what type of camera I'm using for this, all the produce shots are done with a tiny little Fuji F30. You can see an Amazon link to that camera on the right. The shots were surreptitiously taken in the store while shopping.

Flaunt that fungus!
Excellent.
Yesss! Produce blogging! And another great edition, to boot. (Is there any other kind?)
Great job, Rick! Thanks for making my Friday, once again. You're the best produce blogger around.
Cute coconut!
Why was that mushroom all by his lonesome? It was so shiny where he landed. 'Love it.
