Your last few posts have seemed especially inspired, Rick. (Though the lack of produce blogging is still quite a disappointment for me!) Something about your posts since last week's produce but before your San Francisco-related pictures had seemed, to me anyway, uninspired. (The car show? I yawned right along with you.) Travel seems to have stimulated you.
Or am I way wrong?
Regardless, your readers (viewers?) are the beneficiaries.
Excellent shots of the gull and curved escalator. How exciting to be taken along to SF! I'm hoping to see more of that marvelous West Coast architecture. With rain and fog in the forecast, you won't need the Blur Overlay.
Pete... I enjoy the whole "shoot the world around you" thing I've been doing mostly. It's great to try and find those visual gems while going through the daily routine... but honestly it does get hard after a couple of years of covering the same ground. Travel is such joy of new sights for me. There are new things to shoot everywhere I look. Too bad the weather is less than ideal here in San Francisco this week. It's not been raining so far, but most of the day is grey, overcast and somewhat foggy. Not foggy enough to make for great fog shots, but just enough to make everything colorless and dull. But still, there are plenty of things to look at.

Great work.

The bird in flight is lovely.
That shot of the gull is incredible.
