San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. You can't shoot pictures of the art, but they don't mind if you shoot the architecture. Nice building. Too bad the most interesting parts were closed off the day I was there.

I dunno Grumpy. Here's a shot that shows the whole lobby of the museum and you can see the two huge paintings that flank the main staircase. They are so big that they just appear to be part of the building rather than paintings.
Now that looks like a very interesting building, Rick. From your pictures, the whole thing has an integrity. The two big paintings are just right. Congratulations to the designers (as well as the photographer, of course).

Looks like you got some of the art - the Stella! Our museum had a similar one, and it was near the lobby also.
I LOVE the second one. The stair cases look like a puzzle.
The Stellas in the picture you link to are a bit different. They're huge 4-panels.
The lobby in that picture appears Pharaonic, indeed.
