Friends and family! This set consists of a small selection of people that I know who were at the event.

We Are... Marshall -- Premiere, Part 1

The world premiere of the new Warner Bros. movie "We Are... Marshall" was held this evening in Huntington, WV. Stuff like this doesn't happen every day around here so it was a pretty big deal.

People lined up really early in the day to get access to the "green carpet".




Matthew McConaughey is the star. The former "sexiest man alive" drew quite a reaction from the crowd.

People tell me that Matthew Fox is a big TV star. Since I've never watched his shows, I'll have to take their word for it. The gentleman next to him is Red Dawson, who Fox portrays in the film.


This is Kate Mara who you may have seen on "24" or in the film "Brokeback Mountain".

Spectral Display

I saw this patch of light on a granite (?) floor in a law office. The light was coming through a pair of glass doors and the edge of the one of the doors created this prism effect. The patch of light was about two inches long.

Found - One Swiss Army Knife

Does anybody know a Jason Happe? I found his knife.
UPDATE: Well... this is just too funny. Someone in Tennessee who was in the military with Jason Happe called Jason's dad here in West Virginia to tell him about the knife. I got a call from Jason's dad who told me that Jason's grandmother bought the knife for him in Switzerland. Jason lost the knife in Kanawha State Forest where I found it a few years ago. I stuck it in the glove box of my car and I ran across it the other day when I sold that car. I had always wondered who Jason Happe was, so I posted it on the blog. I also got a call from Jason. Since losing the knife, he has served in the Army in Iraq and now lives in Savannah, GA. Isn't the Internet cool? I'm going to give the knife to Jason's dad on Monday.
UPDATE 2: I gave the knife to Jason's dad this morning and had a nice conversation. The knife is halfway home!
