Print Offer

If you are waiting for a print from me (from my Produce #100 post) they just went out today. I had to get the mailing supplies in and then find the time to get it all together, etc.

Fall Color, 2007

I saw lots and lots of great color this week, but it was all in the rain and I never had a chance to get any good shots. These photos are from last weekend on Bridge Day.

Another old photo

I drove back from Wheeling in the rain (which we need) again today. Here's a photo from last week when I was at the state capitol.

Design in red, white and blue

I drove to Wheeling in the crappy rain today. I saw lots and lots of great fall color today, but I couldn't shoot any of it in this weather. Here's a shot I took last week.

Bridge Day 2007

After all these years, I finally went to Bridge Day. I had a lot of work to do for a client besides shooting jumpers, but I did get a few shots of the action. It's pretty startling to see people jump off the edge, 876 feet above the river.

Around Town

A few shots from around town yesterday. Below is Davis Park... that's a statue of Henry Gassaway Davis.

This is Laidley Tower, photographed from my car at a stop light... buildings with mirrored windows look completely different depending on the sky conditions.

I ran across this van today with a photo by Rick Lee on the back. "I agree with Jenny" is a running gag, I think.

Lauren Henkin

I went to a photography exhibit opening tonight. Lauren Henkin, a graphic designer and photographer from Maryland was showing photographs of Charleston. They were black & white, shot on large format so they were ultra-sharp. It's hard to describe art, but I really liked the work. I bought a piece.

Rotunda

I had a few minutes to kill this afternoon while waiting to work at the capitol building.

Slab Glass

I started to make the a mystery photo but I changed my mind. It's not something that most people would ever see. This is glass that might be used in architectural features.

Girl descending the stairs

I was just going through some old shots from my Chicago trip and found this and the Trump Tower shot.

Running Fawn

I went mountain biking today. This is the normal sort of fauna I see on my rides. Today, friends told me they recently saw a bear in those woods. I'm not real comfortable with that.

Dawn on I-77

I've photographed this same spot on Interstate 77 several times. I'm not sure why... I like the curves in the 2 roads and it always seems like I'm going by this way when dawn is breaking.
