Do you know what this is a part of? Post your guesses in the comments. I'm not sure if this is a good mystery photo or not. Let us see. UPDATE: I've added 2 more photos of the object.
Yes, it's an old Speed Graphic camera. Just about every movie made in the 40s seemed to feature a news photographer carrying a Speed Graphic. I don't have a good photo of it (oh the irony) but here's a bad one.
it's the scoop of a lamp.
ReplyDeleteIt's not a lamp. This is not an ordinary object. Most people would not have one, although it is iconic.
ReplyDeleteLooks like part of an old tape deck reel.
ReplyDeleteIs it an old flash bulb reflector?
ReplyDeleteOne of those things that used to hold flash bulbs on old cameras?

ReplyDeleteOkay, before I read the other comments.....
ReplyDeleteit's an old camera and this is the part you would put the flash bulb in......
I'm always late!
ReplyDeleteI beg to differ. It is a lamp, but one that only stays on for 0.0001 of a second.
ReplyDeleteHere from Blond Girl's "Site of the Day" pic at Michele's. I never would have guessed this one.
ReplyDeleteLooks to me like 80s era track lighting.
ReplyDeleteBTW, Blond Girl/Michelle sent me.
Thanks very much to Blond Girl and Michele for the referrals!
