I'm not sure why, but I'm just seeing a lot of shots lately that benefit from being in that aspect ratio.Rick Leehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03701456793164649060noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11934331.post-85428985815152473612007-07-02T00:00:00.000-04:002007-07-02T00:00:00.000-04:00Some species of birds love the field-forest bounda...Some species of birds love the field-forest boundary.

Are you using a panoramic camera, or just cutting the shot to this wide-screen format?Grumpy Old Manhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06885003732996511989noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11934331.post-45816986467476030802007-07-01T21:52:00.000-04:002007-07-01T21:52:00.000-04:00A simple shot, but it makes me see something speci...A simple shot, but it makes me see something special. Very nicely done.

I look at this and know it's W.Va., and an extremely peaceful scene.

But I also see the fields at Gettysburg. Looking from the high water mark, union lines, towards the confederate lines, at the scene of Pickett's Charge. About two miles away, across a slight valley are the boys/warriors/heroes in gray by the thousands, organizing in the tree line atop a small crest of ridge. I am looking at 1863, a smoke filled afternoon, honorable men advancing in rank, cannon shells and heroism and the senselessness of loss that is war.

Spooky good. Maybe there's some kind of presence in this shot?horrocks_jhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04455791997931294845noreply@blogger.com
