It's awesome. If my River Street History is remembered correctly those tracks were used to unload the ships and move the goods up and down River Street to the warehouses which lined the street many years back. The cars were pulled by mules.

At least that's the way I think the story went.MShanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15282250135037560731noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11934331.post-1149913476668600312006-06-10T00:24:00.000-04:002006-06-10T00:24:00.000-04:00Sorry Goddess... I'm using the Fuji F10 right now which you can get at Wal-Mart for 200 dollars. It's a great camera for close-up macro stuff. I'd like to get the new Fuji F30 which is coming out real soon. There are a few other new Fuji models coming out. You can find more info on the Fuji web site. I've written about my cameras a few times... see here and here. They look old to me but they aren't like cobblestones I'm used to. They are more like granite bricks or something. River Street is very interesting... some really, really old buildings and old, old stairs leading up to the next street which is on much higher ground.Rick Leehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03701456793164649060noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11934331.post-1149910018177482902006-06-09T23:26:00.000-04:002006-06-09T23:26:00.000-04:00Did you stop in MY charleston on the way down, or ...Did you stop in MY charleston on the way down, or did you take 95?Scarlethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01383579846259677109noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11934331.post-1149882317565934732006-06-09T15:45:00.000-04:002006-06-09T15:45:00.000-04:00I love how the cobblestone looks in this picture. ...I love how the cobblestone looks in this picture. I've been meaning to ask... for your "everyday" pictures, what kind of camera do you use... like, when you go to Kroger, do you have a small digital camera? I've been doing flowers and interesting close-ups, but I just have a normal Casio Exilim digital camera... and I'm sure there is some manipulation of the pictures (and of course, the ability to get a good picture in the first place)... but I'm sure a lot of it is the camera you actually use, right? :)Super Babehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05929427198908468260noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11934331.post-1149876480097062302006-06-09T14:08:00.000-04:002006-06-09T14:08:00.000-04:00Tram Tracks and Cobblestones.
